Border Collies learn faster than almost any other breed, and that is exactly why they are a difficult pet. A Collie without a job trains itself: chasing shadows, herding children, patrolling the window.
Placed with an owner who wants to do agility, flyball, obedience or scent work several times a week, they are unmatched. Placed in a quiet apartment, they usually become a behaviour problem within a year. We are honest with buyers about which one they are.

- Interrupt shadow and light chasing immediately - it becomes compulsive.
- Teach a settle command as deliberately as you teach recall.
