Is a Frenchie right for your home?
Frenchies are built for apartment life: minimal exercise needs, almost no barking, and a temperament that treats every guest as a personal friend. They are the most requested breed in the UAE and priced accordingly.
They are also the breed that most rewards careful sourcing. Airway structure, nostril width and spinal formation vary enormously between litters, and a well-bred Frenchie is a fundamentally different dog to live with than a poorly bred one.
Care essentials
- Clean and dry the facial folds twice a week to prevent skin infection.
- Use a harness, never a collar - pressure on the trachea is a real risk in flat-faced breeds.
- Watch for noisy breathing at rest and raise it with your vet early rather than late.
