Is a Golden right for your home?
Goldens are honest, biddable and almost impossible to offend. They train easily, tolerate noise and handling from children, and stay playful well into old age. If you want one dog that does everything reasonably well, this is it.
The trade-off is volume: hair on every surface, a real daily exercise requirement, and an adolescent phase between eight and eighteen months where the dog is large, enthusiastic and not yet sensible.
